I hovered my trex 450 with 450xl and 35x and 11t / throttle curve 0-70-80-90-100

with a tp 3s/2100 pack until the esc started to lose power. I waited a few for the battery to cool then connected to the balancer. The balance was still good and only 1 cell was off by a point. The cells had I believe 3.1v each on them. I charged with the tp1010/210 combo and I decided to check after and hour or so because I didn't hear the beep. I have it charging to 100% but I noticed that it was putting back a lot of MAH over 1993.. I stopped the charge because I wasn't sure what was going on. Is it normal for a pack to take this much back considering the pack is only 2100?

you have used to mutch mah on your pack. use the 80% rule , (2100*80%=1680mah) dont use the power cutoff, time your flight.

I was wondering about that.. I guess I will use my TX timer from now on.. Wasn't sure because it usually takes anywhere from 1700-1800.. this time it was weird..

Thanks for the quick response..

If you fly to the point of losing power, you are damaging your cells.

The minimum safe voltage is 3.0 volts per cell UNDER LOAD. If yours were a 3.1v after flying, you were down around 2.6 - 2.7 volts per cell while you were flying. WAY too low.

so how do I know how long to set the timer for?

I just got my kong p's and don't wanna screw those up..

Start with 4 minutes. Check how much goes back in the pack. Then you can see how much more you can fly. Either up the flight time in increments, or do the math figuring out mAH per minute, then how many minutes 80% will allow.
