First I can't use my models. So I created a new model and it doesn't work with ccpm 120°. So default ccpm got that. Flies great! No idle up or thold..

Also I can't have my radio on. Must be off. So I guess it doesn't even use my battery?

If your using a new model just for the sim dont use CCPM. TH and idle up will be programmed on your tx, nothing to do with the sim. The buddy box turns the radio on but still uses your battery, but the RF section of the radio should be powered down so it will use ALOT less battery power. I get about 17-18hours on a 1800mah pack from my 9303 (i get 8 hours of flying)

Ok yeah throttle hold was inh and I can auto. It still isn't recognizing idle up. Also it seems that even in normal it feels like full pitch range.. Maybe not doesn't take long for the motor to die. lol

Ok now it is in 1 servo (norm) and only works here. I can fly around and it is great! But if I try to stay upside down the motor dies even though pitch is working.

What am I missing?

what are your throttle curves on your radio setup as ?

What he said!!^^^ You need to put the idleups as V curves.

Just be glad its the sim and not the real heli. How many times did you flip it over just to have the blades stop, that would have been pricey !!! Glad you got it sorted.

I bench test the real heli locked to a table. That is the difference with the sim. Yeah I just took right off with it. hmm blades stopped lets do it again. hmm seems to have full pitch errr lol

There are only Two switches you the DX7 that you can program in the Sim.

1. Aux2
2. Gear Switch

That is it.

So you either have to set one of them as Throttle Hold or Set up your Flight modes. I have done the later.

In the sim I have set no curves in the Control setup. It is a straight line 0-100.

On my DX7
Normal : Throttle 0-25-50-75-100 Pitch 0-25-50-75-100
Stunt1: Throttle 100-100-100-100-100 Pitch Curve is 40-45-50-75-100 ( i use this for sport flying
Stunt2: Throttle is 100-100-100-100-100 Pitch 0-25-50-75-100

Dont really use Normal mode except for spooling up. THis is how I do it on my real heli, so I like to do it on the sim as well. Sport Flying I switch to Stunt1. This give Full throttle with a pitch range of around -2/+12. For 3D i use Stunt2. This gives full throttle and pitch range of -12/+12. Again... this is how I have my real helis setup so I like to do it in the sim as well. I use my Throttle hold to kill then motor, not lock it into 100%

Hope this helps

Thanks Sparx yeah I got it figured out last night. First it wouldn't work with my model so I made a new one. Then Thold was inh by default, forgot about that. Then throttle curves weren't right.

P.S. That's the worst normal mode throttle curve I can think of for a Trex 450. You may want to look at something like.

Throttle Curves:
Nor: 0, 40, 95, 100, 100
Idle: 100, 100, 95, 100, 100

Although I run 100 flat:
0, 40, 100, inh, 100
100, inh, 100, inh, 100

It's best to run your motor wide open and adjust head speed with the gearing.

I do not run my heli with that curve bud. It is only there for a smooth Spool up.

Ah makes sense. Guess it give you a clue if you haven't switched to idle up too.
