My take.

Futaba Rxes = $100

Spektrum 7 ch Rxes = $75, 6 channel as low as $40.

Any questions? :)

I would not buy a Futaba 6/7 ch right now, as they are having some problems, that may require that radios be sent back for updating. So if you need to get one soon, I would buy Spektrum.

I'm also sold on the Spektrum/JR after using Futaba systems for 15 years. Especially if you're putting it into your TRex, the Spektrum AR6100 is smaller, lighter, shorter antennae, and much less expensive than the FASST receivers. And it works great. I fly my TRex to the edges of our field, just as far as my Evo 50 and my planks, and have never had a problem. I like the AR7000, too. I don't object to the satellite receiver - I like it better than I would like the longer antennae on the FASST receivers. And I've found that the DX7 does everything I need it to do, and nothing I don't need it to do. My 9CHP had lots of cool switches, sliders and knobs, but I rarely used them, and really didn't need them. Programming is easy and there's lots of help on HF. Service at both places is terrific.
