Hello everyone I wanted to give you an update on the release of the Aurora.
As many of you know a few weeks ago I replied to a question from a user in this forum and for the first time posted a release time. At the time I posted that reply based on the information we had at hand and calculating from what we had to do it seemed pretty sure to us that we were going to be able to release within the month of January which ends tomorrow but that won't be the case although hopefully no for long.

I felt that posting a date would create a sense of definite urgency that would make everyone in the company push harder than ever to meet the date and that's what happened. Unfortunately we were not able to finish in time but it took us very close to finishing.

We are at a point that based on what we experienced trying to finish and release within our January time frame we feel that the coming days will bring to an end the last leg of a long and difficult process of releasing a brand new product that meet high standards of quality and safety.

I realize now after going through all the details that we were not aware needed to be taken care of that if I had not set that date that made us push so hard we would have not become aware of how much work we had left. We ended up having to work much harder than expected to finish them and we are going to keep working just as hard for the next few days until we are done. In a way I'm glad that I posted that reply because it brought a sense of urgency that made everyone involved in the release push incredibly hard while trying to meet the date to take us to where we are now.

I also realize now that posting the release date that we in our hearts believed would be doable I raised the hopes of many customers that have been patiently waiting for the release and I wanted to tell them that from the bottom of my heart I apologize for not meeting that date. I really know how much you want to have your own Aurora and I understand and respect your dedication to your hobby and I know how much having a heli you want makes it a lot more enjoyable.

Like I said before we are going to keep working just as hard in the coming days until we are finally done. Again apologies from the bottom of my heart for the frustration I caused some of you. I'm very sorry and I know how you feel.

Thank you for your attention,

Augusto.

I've been following these threads with interest. It seems like a great thing is about to happen.

Said that Augusto waited so long to inform people... Keeple people informed, don't just hang a carrot in their faces... That's not too much to ask right?

jet pilot if your company that you fly for kept letting there customers down as much as avant rc have you would have no customers at all and there for no job the point is this no one else gets away with this . If avant are having this much troulbe with there first batch of helis whats are the spares going to be like in a years time if he runs out of side frames and you need one after a crash what then are you going to wait time after time remember how many let downs avant have given us .
Sorry for my to the point post earlier but I call a spade a spade and im tired of avant cheerleaders blowing smoke up avants @$$ yes its a nice heli but please remember avant needs us more than we need them

Do you not remember the fact that they said they WILL NOT release the heli until all of their vendors have full parts support? Heliproz and realraptors already have parts and prices posted. the only thing missing is the kits. I've had NO problems getting parts for my avant from carbonxtreme, so i dont see their being a problem with the aurora either

Think about it, Align came out with the Trex 600,Trex 600N,Trex 500 and soon the Trex 700 90 size in the same time frame you have been waiting for the Avant.I just dont get it.

All helis take time. How long have most of you nay saying experts been in the heli hobby? Every major heli is hurry up and wait. If you have been around a while you would know that. Some people are tired of cheap asian helis, I own 4 or 5, that is enough, I want QUALITY. I will wait and also call a spade keyboarder a spade keyboarder.

I like the blitz but it is a little too dear for me and there is no Australian distributor (tough on parts)

Or you can wait a little longer and buy 2 Aurora's with the money you would've otherwise spent on a Blitz...

Exactly. I don't see what all the hubub is about. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything in this hobby. Robin asked me about the Aurora last night, I told her when I can buy one, I will. She said that it was the best looking heli on the market, and she was looking forward to trying to learn to fly it.

If the Aurora gest my wife flying after probably 30 helis over 20 years, than that is INCREDIBLE. Looking forward to my Aurora(s) :)

and how many "upgrades" have they offered to fix minor issues with those helis'.. i have NO problem waiting for a QUALITY american made helicopter. The blitz allbeit nice is WAY to expensive for what you get. Same goes for the Synergy, im not paying $1000+ for something that has more plastic parts than carbon or metal.

Im from the uk so the diffrence between an aurora and a blitz 800 or 900 remember us brits have been ripped off for years all they do is exchange the dollar sign fo a pound sign over here so I wouldnt be able to get two for one

Jody you should try and sort some thing out with blitz on importing them to your country

I'll pipe in here. After playing parts tester and waiting for align to get off there @$$ to get parts to lhs. I think avant is doing the right thing. Put out a heli that works in the first place with all parts in store.
Also this is Helifreak not rump ryder. Mutual respect man. The fact that some people have to jump in and bad mouth a heli they dont want, havent owned, and just troll around Gets me mad. as for align and the 600 500 700. um how long have we waited on all of them. Then we get it and parts fail. Then you go to get replacements, "sorry we dont have them yet and dont know when they will be in."
