Bob and I fly with a small group of people who also fly Fixed Wing as well as Heli's, but there are more Heli's!

They are really nice bunch and skills range from pretty good 3D to me flying side in Hovering only!

We now have 3, 550 Hurricanes including mine and Bobs and a guy called Neil.

2 shogun / Zaps 400 (Mine and Bobs)

2 x Trex 450 (Bob and Mark)

1 Walkera 450 (flies surprisingly well!) (Forgoten Name!)

1 x Sceadu 50 (Capt Jamal)

1 x raptor 30 (Forgotten Name!)

1 x Raptor 50 (Jamal)

1 x RJX Hurrican 50 (Mark)

plus a few fixed wing props and EDF's

There is another club about an hours drive north from here that I haven't been to yet they fly mainly Fixed wing but there is a Turbine Jet there that I'm dieing to see!!

No we don't fly over the water only the sand and we only fly at Low tide so we have plenty of space.

And were not exactly AMA sanctioned either!! There is no governing body for model aviators here in Malaysia as we are still a developing country, I am sure one day it will be introduced.

posts some pics of your flying sites and clubs
would be a cool thread to start

Cheers

Hey Ben, thanks for posting them...not too busy in the office eh? We are working our buns off up here and you are enjoying HF!! Not fair!!!

Anyhow, only managed a couple of flights up here. Windy! I did get a couple of shots from the beach which I will post later, when the other laptop is re-charged.

Mike, if you thought 'that' location was cool, you wanna check out my next shots. These were taken at the resort we are building (well, Ben is more building than me but I do work there!) in the North of Borneo.
The boat in the background is one of our clients (pretty crap boat really, only one Eurocopter ha!)
Rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous in Sabah.

You missed a great party with the crew of Whitecloud last night!! six hostess girls, four heli pilots ha ha!
We have broadband on the beach now!! Gonna move my office here!!!

There is a party tonight Ben (and Mike, and anyone else who wants to come!!) Northern India on Waterfront, crew of White Cloud, she will be in KK later today. One of the pilots was into RC helis but three other crew members fly.
Apart from the wind, great conditions up there. I'm heading back up next week if you wanna bring the 'birds' for a mini fly in!
That gives all you other guys time to come and join us, this is a fantastic location, here are some pics to show just a slice of the lifestyle

Sorry Bugdozer, life is good here......and just to confirm me as a figure of hate....here's the wife!

Looks like she is just "Waiting for your call"...to say "Honey I'm coming home, I would rather spend the afternoon with you than flying my Helicopter" (translated, means, Ive flown out all my batteries and I'll spend some time with you while they recharge,) :smokin:

We hate jungle Bob would be an appropriate name for the thread...

Come on Mike, this place is so chilled you would quickly forget about the kicking and get into the lifestyle.....better be careful though, my team of 18 security guards may not enjoy seeing their boss at the receiving end of a kicking, they might even DO something for a change ha ha!
The wife doesn't mind us flying (glad to see me out of the way ha ha). One of the guys in our club has his wife charge his batteries while he is at work (if you are reading this Neil, you know you are a lucky guy!!).

We do have some down sides, check out the picture, we get lots of these at our site although this is only a baby, they can become 10m long!!!

Mike, no worries on the jealousy thing, completely understand, I worked hard for 30 years in London to earn this and now I'm as happy as a pig in ~~~~>SH1T.
The best bit of this job is the mates here, Ben is every heli pilots perfect buddy, he enjoys fixing my helis and looks forward to me crashing so he can get more 'bench time', actually, I think that's why he caused my last one ha ha. Actually Mike, that accident was your fault, I promised pics just before we went out and we were doing them when I hit the deck!!!

JB....

What kind of "Baby Snake" is that your holding? Are they poisonus?

You know we're all just jealous you and Wazzer get to fly all the time...but love to see the pics anyway.

We'll appreciate it a lot more when OUR good weather comes...for those living in the Northern territories of the US like Chicago their summer is July 4th ! no more, no less. Us in the south get a little longer season...Texans can fly all year long also...

Keep posting the pics of you and your mates.....it's nice to see someone having a good time...and to learn a little about the different part of the world.

Hey Mjdee, no worries mate. The snake is a Reticulated Python and is not venomous. It bites but only to hold its prey while it 'constricts' around it. It then eats it whole and usually eats once a month. It is incapable of anything once it has a big meal inside it (bit like me really!). They do grow up to ten metres in length but the big ones are rare. They make really good eating so the locals love them! I have eaten python lots and it is really nice. We have lots of snakes here in Borneo but only a few are really dangerous. Most are just spectacularily beautiful and fascinating to catch and study.
We are abit careful when moving around in tall grass but other than that there is no real worry about them. We will send some more pictures as and when we have something of interest, neither of us are into rock and roll 3D but we do have some great flying sites.
Hope it warms up for you soon. I have to go back to the UK in June and I am really not looking forward to, I will stay a maximum of two weeks before rushing back here.

Are you guys (Jungle Bob & Wazzer) going to let them know about the Marine Stingers and the Monsoonal rains, mosquitos and god knows what other bitety things you have up there.:)
I know its nice living in the Tropics but you should really let those poor buggars living in the cold places know that there are a few downsides and that it is not all Beer and Skittles.

Downsides:
Have to use coolers on Beer bottles/glasses due to dripping condensation, also have to drink quickly as drink warms up quickly.
Have to keep Beer in fridge or on ice.
Have to wear Sunglasses all the time due to the glare.
Have to wear shorts, too hot to wear longs.
Sandels are the norm as shoes are too hot.
I'm sure there are a few other things, but you take them for granted after a while, lol.

Beaches sure look nice, better than our local ones.

Jungle Bob

Bearwood,
Absolutely correct, there are downsides to everywhere. It's just that we cant think of any ha ha ha. No really, we do have mosquitoes but I can't remember the last time I was bitten. There are jelly fish in the sea at certain times of the year, but I have never been stung. Beer does get warm after a while, but I don't drink (really!) Shorts and sandles to work, no real hardship for me. Sunglasses all year round, yep! The monsoon rains do come, but they go away again!
The real down side. Heli parts are hard to come by, work gets in the way of flying, there are always deadlines and the money isn't great.......we learnt to live with it along time ago....what do we call ugly women here? Tourists!
