That was an F16 I picked up at a local shop....the F22 is NEXT LEVEL and will surely blow you away.
Twin ducted fans and has working ailerons, rudder and elevators. It also has optional landing gear and come full assembled and RX ready.
Its a new brand that I will be testing in the coming days as I am expecting to recieve it Friday.
As soon as I get pics I will get them posted!

Sapac makes some good foamy ducted fan jets. Nitroplanes sells a different brand and have several different models.
For a cheaper alternative and just as fun, you can go the yardbirdrc route.
I fly the Mig29 and the YB-22 jets. Awesome fun and cheap to get in the air.
A great motor for either is the Motrolfly KV1700 spinning a 7x5.5 prop powered by a dualsky 1300GT 25c lipo.
You can use the motrolfly 2200kv motor spinning a 6x5 apc prop for a faster ship, but with a slightly reduced runtime on the same lipo.
Use the Dualsky 1300gt lipo's since they are a strong 25c battery, versus the somewhat lighter, but less capable TP 1320's.

Also, you can go to rcgroups.com and look for the MDC F-14 plans if you want to cut your own depron. Its a profile F-14 that has functional servo controlled swingwings. I've got three, two are powered by Little screamers super parkjet motors and the other is powered by the motrolfly 2200kv.
Loads of fun.
Here is me flying the swingwing F14. These flat spin soo nice.

Used Heli mode and setup a throttle curve tied into the flap channel to have the wings swing inwards after approx 75-80% throttle, and then move back out any any position under that percentage for slow speed high manouverability.
If you are interested in an MDC-F14, you can contact "birdofplay" over on rcgroups. He cuts the depron out using his CNC system. Price is approx $40 or $45 for the cut foam and he does great work. These go together pretty quick. Check out the MDC-14 thread for mods and suggestions if you are curious.

Can it be hand launched without gear?
Mike Fortin

Yes, they can be hand launched, the stock motors on the F-22 are lacking a bit but they are manageable for sure as long as you have a nice strong launch.
With a couple of better motors and fan units this thing would be insane.

Hi Mike, thanks. Since I just got into electric can you suggest a motor upgrade?

Wow this jet looks really cool!!!
I have a few questions though.
Can it fly at somewhat a slow speed?
Is it very fragile?
Would it be an OK beginner plane?

I would not suggst the F22 as a beginner plane but the T-45 EDF from SAPAC is just the perfect beginner jet but without any mods can be an awesome plane for more expereinced pilots as well.
Although the F22 is fun the T-45 is without a doubt my favorite.
You may want to take a look at the Little Screamer motors from Hobby Lobby or the "Wicked" motors from Don's RC both are awesome and will provide plenty of thrust for vertical performance.

I picked up one of the Yardbird RC F22 foamies and it's a great plane! Very well engineered and inexpensive to fly.
Here's a pic of mine ready for her maiden:
