Hi all

I have been wondering about making or buying a flybar lock as setting the pitch on my Mini Titan with the flybar flapping around was more guess work than precision.

What would really swing it for me is if the flybar lock can be used when checking for eCCPM interations. Last time I used a spirit level bubble mounted on a paddle as Finless shows in one of his vids, but this is also a pain with the flybar flapping. Could I use a lock on the flybar while checking for eCCPM interactions or would it mask what I'm looking for?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Bill

I quite like the idea. What would you lock it to? The boom? How about when you are checking from the side?

I just keep my finger lightly under it when checking for interactions. Let me know how this progresses.

Take care,

J

Look where the flybar mounts to the drive shaft and there's a slot so that the flybar can teeter. When the flybar is level there is spare room in that slot. You can stuff something in that slot to take up the spare room and that will lock the flybar. A small allen wrench might do. There is also a tool that hooks onto the boom and grabs the flybar.

That is essentially what I did on my RaptorV1 years ago. I took apart a wooden clothspin, did a little carving to fit. Set a bubble level on the flybar, wedged my makeshift 'locks' under the flybar carrier and went about setting up my pitch curves.

That's a great tip, thanks.
