I'm hoping someone can put my mind at ease here...

I have the Futaba servo doubler kit (part # 115-87 purchased from Ron's), but before I put that machine screw threaded head of the stub (115-73) into my $80 Futaba S9252 servo originally equipped with a plastic output shaft that uses a stock coarse threaded screw to hold the servo arm on, can anyone confirm that I shouldn't be worried about any cross threading that is going to occur? Perhaps a drop of !C-2000 on the end of the doubler stub will keep things safe?

Or do machince threaded screw ends really exist on the other stubs and perhaps my doubler kit of 115-87 was mis-packed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The fine threads on the stubs will screw into the 9252 just fine. I have a Stratus that has 9252's all the way around. The servo support studs all screwed into the servos just fine. No problem with them.

Thanks for the info. I hated to screw them in knowing the threads were different. I was thinking they would re-thread themselves, but wanted some experts here in the forum to confirm.

One other concern I noticed was that the bearing seems to stick out further on one side of the brace than on the other. Is there a correct side that goes against the servo? It would appear to sit higher or lower depending on which way it's flipped.

Thanks again.

The flanged side of the bearing goes toward the servo. The flange is the metal lip you see on one side of the carbon brace.

Think of bearing capture as being a one-way exit. The flanged side shows where the bearing "could" be pulled out. You would want the flanged side towards the servo as David said.
