Sorry to say but you suck :) <== thats not personal attack :) just a figure of speach
and its not your fault the Co-axial has you in that mode. going from Lama or CX to collective pitch is a big jump, you will have to learn from scratch.
Belt cp is a very stable helicopter.. you just have to know how to fly collective pitch heli's
i too started with a lama v4, and it tought me nothing other than what the sticks do....
The small crash you had probably bent your feathering shaft (the shaft betwwen the blade grips) thats always the first to bend, and or you also bent your main shaft (esky main shaft is easy to bend replace it with Trex 450 main shaft)

Hi everyone, i've had my Belt CP for a couples of months now and I can't wait for spring to clear all the snow out so i can fly again. I was wondering if anyone upgraded there radio for a more adjustable one like the DX6i? Did you get good results? Is it easier to fly?
Thanks
Martin
I have not upgraded my radio, stock one works fine for me..
i have though upgraded to SG 90 servo's all around.
Also have on Trex 450 Head, Align 315 fiber blades, paddles and tail blades. (you can use them on the stock head as well big improvement as well as trex paddles)
Mods you should concider doing is the Direct to Swash mod, which Myself or Ber60 will post a how to shortly with pictures... but the mod entails getting rid of all the nasty linkages and servo link goes directly to the swashplate.

hi! im a newbie from the philippines. ive been flying for a year or so now and i started from flying 2ch apaches and picooz to the 4ch esky comanche and now, i got myself a esky belt cp last january and was followed by a copterx 2wks ago. im still actually practicing on hovering tail in though coz of the small space(garage and driveway) im using as airspace. i havent gone to the fields to fly coz ive noticed that theres a big difference in flying the 6ch 3d helis as compared to the 4ch models and ive got no buddy to fly with me or teach me. ive watched videos of 3d flying and im really impressed at what these models could do in the hands of a skilled pilot. i hope il learn from you guys! thanks for some of the infos ive read and seen!

HI Iceman,
I used to use that name a long time ago :) Keep on the learning, and when you get good at hovering tail in, take it out front the house and start walkign behind it doing some turns using the tail and start particing side in flying.... Nose in is best you practice a bit on a simulator until you get comfortable and dont make the mistake of pushing backwards when you should be pushing foward etc etc, then try it on the heli...
This section should get quite active once its under the main forum headings and we will be doing alot of how to's on how to improve the Belt CP... Were just waiting on the dedicated forum to start.

Martin, I upgraded mine to the DX7 and it makes a huge difference. There is a lot more control over how the heli is setup and how it reacts to inputs. IMHO the tx upgrade is the best upgrade you can do on the Belt. :clappp

He's right, you know. The DX7 made the biggest difference of all the upgrades I've tried so far. Of course my frame is still stock, so what do I know :D
Great to see you here, Gerd.

Hi Every one :) any one heard from Tahiti?
I'm still setting up My Dx6i on the belt I've used the Revo mix to compensate torque ( still using the rate Giro) used mix 1 and 2 to combine AILE and ELEV with THRO to elimanate swash servo effect on the motor revs. Ive not set any idle up throttle-pitch curve because Im still Just learning to fly it around in forward flight.
I'm having problems with the heli rising and falling in hover without the throttle being moved
The symptoms are similar to those I experienced with the stock radio which was due to dodgy sticks.
Any Ideas:) Ian

Have you lubed your tail lately? I had the same problem with the plastic tail - it started binding a little and gave me roughly similar symptoms. I put a drop of teflon-based superlube on every bearing in the tail and around the main shaft, and that sorted it out for me.
DierWolf, that's the second time this week your avatars send coffee up my nose! :D

I Just got a belt CP and I either just suck at it or its really unstable. Its incredibly sensitive as well. I cant get it 3 inches off the ground before I think its going to freak out on me and make a dive sideways. I guess the banking control is just new to me. in any case I already crashed it and it shakes horribly. the blades are a little chewed up but that seems to be the only thing that looks out of wack? nothing looks bent. any suggestiongs? and any insight on the headlocker gyro?
Dont give up on it, its a great heli when you get used to it, In addition to what Dierwolf said, Its worth going through the head set up to check nothings binding, mine had a duff servo caused by binding in the head when I got it:shock:
All the best Ian:)

OK, make that three times. And I did notice it.
Although I'm thinking of another finger... and we need to print T-shirts :)

I didn't notice this mentioned yet, but if the blades are damaged they will be out of balance, causing vibration - and they will fail when you least expect it. When they do, there's a nice long metal weight inside that will shoot off in a random direction, quite likely fast enough to penetrate clothing and skin. Change them while you swap the bent feathering shaft. They will never fly well again, so it's just not worth the risk.
