Because I'm using S9650 servos with short leads, I opted to mount the Rx on top of the tail boom block. I mounted the DS760 gyro upside down, double-stick taped to the underside of the tail boom block (the tray below is too flexible).
So try as I might, programming always set the 'correction direction' wrong. I kept at it, trying different things until at step 1 in the programming I finally tried pushing the stick to the right instead of the left. Bingo! Took the heli outside on a static turntable and all functions are spot on.
Is this nuts? Or is the step 1 programming input to the DS760 telling the gyro something that assumes the gyro is right-side up? Pushing the stick to the right and having it work just seems too weird.:confused:
