Taking off of a balcony 27 stories high (cross winds anyone) with a crowd on the balcony, then I assume they're using it to take pictures then catching it by hand!

That takes 'brass ones' to send a heli out high in the city like that.
One glitch and it's down and gone . By the time you get down to street level from the elevator, a passerby has walked off with a $1,000 heli. :Slap
I'd love to see his pictures though... Still a cool 'stunt'.... Thanks, Red Neck

A glitch would sent this torpedo down to the first floor killing an innocent civilian. Irresponsibility without a brain! I am down right scared what people can do. If this type of practices continue, I am afraid one day helicopters would be banned all together.

I guess you didn't notice he was on 2.4 ghtz. You seriously think this would've killed someone?

2.4Ghz isn't glitch free... The belief that it is is ridiculous. It's still radio energy and as such, it's succeptable to interference. I've had more issues with 2.4Ghz than with 72Mhz so go figure.
As for killing someone, highly unlikely, but it'd certainly hurt if it hit someone falling from 27 stories up.

Hmmm, you've had a completely different experience than I have. Sure 2.4 ghtz is susceptible to glitches but the way that Tx's handle 2.4 makes it very unlikely for a glitch to occur. I couldn't tell you how many problems I've had/seen with 72mhtz but I've never seen or had one with 2.4. Maybe I'm just lucky.

pretty irresponsible, not to mention he could have easily cut his buddies fingers off... Two Thumbs Down.

I've never had a glitch (that I've noticed) with my 72Mhz gear, but had two runaways with my DX7 and AR6100 (v1.2) Rx when I first got it. I'd be concerned with Rx "brownout" more than anything, especially if it's an older Spektrum Rx..
Either way, that wasn't the most intelligent thing to do... I'd love to see the pics the camera got tho... :)
