This question is more out of curiosity,
Is there another Heli out there that compares in 4 Kg or 8.8 lb payload the Maxi Joker 2 has that is more affordable?
I like the Electric, No smoke Idea, I like the Payload. But I hate the price :YeaBaby:
I missed the RC universe sale on the Maxi Joker 2 that had all the options for $2,800.00 shipped:hammer
That would have been nice!!!! I bet that add ran for 2 seconds..

Nope, nothing electric swings 800mm blades unless you do your own stretch/conversion.
but then you'll just spend more money in the process and realize that you should've just purchased the MJ2 in the first place.
In fact, the Maxi Joker is nothing more than a stretched Joker aerobatic heli.
the biggest you can get in stock electrics is an ION-X2, Vario Silence, or the regular joker.
but all those are only swinging 710mm blades as far as I know. there might be more that I can't think of right now, but any 90 size electric is gonna be expensive ;)

Bergen's new electric will swing 800's. I don't remember the exact pricing but I think I heard it was better than Joker. Check 'em out.

I heard about the E-mag, but didn't know about the stretch kit.
I hope it kicks maxi a$$! i'd rather buy a bergen than the Joker. The joker is very precise, but the bergen in made here in the USA with great support right here on the Freak. The nice thing about an E-observer is that it will already come with a kick a$$ mount, so I wouldn't be surprised if it costs a little more upfront than a joker, but all together as a cameraship, it might be quite cheaper, and less of a headache.
Plus Chris is a real good guy! :)

I once saw a great deal, on brand new MJ2 with 2 set of battery, and couple of battery tray to make more A123 packs. Pan, Tilt camera mount with visionlock underslung mount, selling on Runryder from Italy for $1,700. I think I was the second person to make the offer and someone got a great, great deal. I was heart broken that I missed a chance of a life time.

The Tazer setup to run 800 mm blades is going to run appx $1100. This is airframe only, with options for the popular motors and esc combos to follow.

We'll be running the first one with a Pletti 370, same as what they recommend in the MJ, We are already using a Neu Motor in the E-Observer with great results so far, should work just fine in the Tazer 800 as well.

Setup will be for 12s, using 2 6s packs side by side.

We'll have all 3 birds at B-Ham, along with a special surprise for giveaway......

:) :)

I would definitely put my money on the Bergen e-machine. So glad to hear they're making great progress on that line!

Chris, you guys gonna bring any of those e-Bergens out West to show off this season??? Can't let those east coast people have all the fun!

Mine's a mixed bag.

Started as a Vario Silence

Skyfox head turned flybarless

Bergen boom

running 800 vario flat bottom's

10S2P 8000

The thing hovers after an auto for an eternity.

I am definitely getting the e-bergen when it's out.

That was a nice heli on RCU or actually it is as I bought it. You probally couldnt of gotten it though as the guy wanted cash or check, no paypal or partial paypal but really wanted cash. I had my father drive up buy it and ship it out to me. The seller is really cool, flies private jets for winery clients. I do have a maxi RTF less lipo if interested for sale soon at a great price. I have 3. I am excited about the E Bergens, best customer service of any company. Always willing to help or take a call after hours. It will be nice to have a US made AP machine without a parts suppy issue.
The maxi's are great machines those that have them know, they are proven relaible workhorses. My birds have been great and we fly some of the toughest conditions around, sometimes intentionally sometimes not.

I've been having a lot of bad luck lately.
I think the on'y thing that's kept it together is the ability to hang out on helifreak,,
Bad luck like anything else will run it's course,,

Hopefully by next month, I'll be ready for the Maxi Joker 2. Or something compatible.

But currently I'm working on a Country Western tune that really Stinks :YeaBaby:

I do apprecite the help, I hope the offer is still open when the smoke settles around here. :cheers

The Jokers are so expensive because they are one in not the nicest helicopter on the market today. I have owned many different helis and I can not say that I have ever been more amazed at the quality, performance and support of the Joker line. Money well spent.
