I have been testing this new 16T pinion (makes up 7.75 gear ratio) for a month now and put 4 gallons of fuel through it. Sp here are the results:

- I got insane power at 1900 - 1950 head speed. The engine has no bog at all. It just pulls and pulls all whatever move you give it.

- The engine runs cool. After the the first 3 gallons, I inspected the front and rear bearings and they were perfect.

- Since I put the new pinion in I have crashed 3 times and it is still in perfect shape.

Bottom line, the new gear ratio 7.75 by using this 16T pinion really makes a YS91SR fully produce its potential power. At 1900-1950, there is no bog noticed.

Here is the video of my buddy testing it. He was trying to load it up but it was hard. Me flying video will be posted later also.

so long asked me to try out his new setup, he said it would be faster than the first time ive flown his synergy. he put the sticks in my hand and told me to stick bang during some tic tocks, so i did just that. its very powerful and i think the video speaks for itself. awesome.

Are you selling these yet? I'd like one.

The new 16t pinions are still in testing process. I may come up with a higher ratio because 7.75 seems to low and the engine sounds a little strange and runs hot although it got much power...

Are you planning on a new main gear? That seems like the next logical step. IMHO. :-)

Th new 126T and 128T maingears are in production. The 128T promises to be the best choice...

124/15=8.26 (stock) 2000 head = 16520 engine rpm
128/16=8.00 2000 head = 16000 engine rpm
126/16=7.875 2000 head = 15750 engine rpm
124/16=7.75 (Your first test) 2000 head = 15500 engine rpm

Was the 7.75 too high a gear for the YS to pull without bogging, overheating, etc?

I am really interested in getting a set of these gears. I would be willing to take on part of the engineering cost involved in making these gears. PM me if you'd like to discuss this further. :-)

I just got some 128T maingears and 16T pinions in and the 8.0:1 gear ratio is made up. At this ratio the engine will revolve at 15600 rpm to achieve 1950 headspeed.

I have put 2 gallons through this new setup and the result is really successful. I got more torque during hard moves and I got the pop of 1950 headspeed. The engine runs cool and doesn't seem to be loaded up. Here is a video of me flying it:

One bad thing about these new maingears is that the heli becomes a little bit noisy because of not perfect material choice.

Here is my latest testing video:

Note: Although my engine was not in perfect condition (was damaged last month due to bad fuel) and was not tuned properly (I'm not good at tuning engines) the engine still got power with this gear ratio.

Thanks creightoncarr so much for his video.

I just got some more of maingears and pinion gears in so If anyone needs a set please send me a PM or email to: ngkimlong@gmail.com

Thanks.
