Hi there,

Very basic question. Someone else in the "scale" forum has told me that for a 450 sized machine, the correct scale for a '46 would be 1/22.5. Can anyone confirm this? Also, is there any source of full scale CAD or similar drawings to indicate mast-mast linear measurements, rotor disk height offset, and the tilt angle that is obvious when the airframe is on the ground? Thank you.

No, the Twinn Rexx (CH-47) is about 1:22.5. The MS Composites CH-46 is close to 1:24. I think if you were to take a Twinn Rexx and build it as a CH-46, it would come out to 1:20 scale. But you mention 450 size helicopter. Except for the Twinn Rexx, there are no 450 size tandem helicopters. If you are building your own, there is a lot of flexibility in the size and scale.
