Hey Jason,
Well I had a Hawk 2, not a bad machine, it got me flying helis.......I like to follow my own path, how many Futura SE's or Calibers are there in the northwest? You ever had a Quick? I got a pretty good deal on it. It's not at my house yet but should be by mid week.
See ya at Brooks,
Alan

Jeff and Travis, I may just have to take you up on that, thank you very much for the offer. Since money is a little tight this year and after purchasing the Fury, I kind of have a low to medium quality set up in my Fury right now in the electronics area. here is what I have in it right now:
Hitec 645 high torque servos on ccpm
standard servo on throttle
GY-401/9254
GV-1
for the other stuff:
YS91/either Hatori or MP2
blades of some sort
it has carbon paddles also
I figure that this set up should be at least alright for hovering and flying around and possibly inverted if I get brave enough with the Fury. Do you think this will be alright for now until I am able to get enough money together to get the 9252 set up and GY601? Thanks for the input my friends.

I don't know anything about Hitec servos but the 9252s work very well for a reasonable cost. IMO the Gy401 is fine for now but if you're going to be pushing the tail then you'll love the 601. Also if you're doing a lot of pirouetting stuff the 601 is the best.
BTW the stock white paddles fly fine.

Billy,
Save those $$$'s for the 9252's.
You will need them. The 645's are great for planes and mechanical mix helis, but after a short period of time they will develope slop and cause interaction problems in the eCCPM setup. Course the dead band can be pretty brutal from the start on those servos. If the swashplate is moving up and down level with fast collective and is staying level when you stop it they shold be fine.
I agree with Jeff. Until you are doing fast backwards stuff the 601 is overkill.
You ever had a Quick?
Alan,
No way that would be like getting caught kissing your sister. :D :D :D....
Saw enough of them when the LHS used to carry them and the manager was flying them. He could NEVER get parts or when he did they were the wrong thing so I have always stayed away.
I did own a Hawk though. :D Oh did I say that out loud....

Hey Jason, thanks for the info, for a long time I plan on basically just hovering and maybe doing some forward flight with the Fury as I have other helis to fly I just want to break in my motor and have another bird to play with a little bit at the funflys, they seem to have no interaction at the moment. But I do fully plan on getting a 9252 set up before I get into aerobatics with the Fury, once again I got my Tiger to beat up in the aerobatic arena. Things are coming to together on the fury, I have all the elctronics installed just hopinh my blades might arrive before Brooks, and if not I get to sign a contract to borrow one of Jeff's or Travis' set of blades, thank you guys again for the kind offer. :noteworthy two good pilots right there, I hope to learn alot from Jeff and Travis in the upcoming years. :glasses2:

Here's a quote from USA today weather section.
POWERFUL PACIFIC STORM TO SLAM NORTHWEST AND CALIFORNIA
An unusually vigorous late-spring storm will bring rain and wind to the Pacific Northwest today and into the weekend. It's rare to see such a strong storm this far south in June-this time of year, they tend to move north into British Columbia.

Doesn't look too good.
