The 500 and 600dx seem to be getting harder and harder to find online. Probably the majority of sellers simply seem to be listing the 3d versions. Are the dx kits being discontinued, or is it simply that most people don't find it worthwhile to stock them?
I have considered getting a kit for spares and repair - at £200 for the dx this might make reasonable financial sense, but at £360 for the 3d it wouldn't. I'm trying to work out whether it makes more sense to keep the money in the bank, or in a kit in the attic.
