I want to turn my trex 450 into a scale machine and am looking to be pointed in the right direction in a scale fuse to fit. I would like to get one that is pretty easy to build ( being my first) and then after that I would get into something a little more complex. I thought there was a post but I cant seem to find it, may be to early in the morning. Any info would be great

Hi there, I can tell you which one NOT to choose for your first one! It is the Align Agusta A-109. It really is not an easy one and will drive you crazy. Check this out:

However if anyone wants to build this one, I can pass my experiences with it.

Mark.

Do a google for Darthdark...the address escapes me at the moment. He makes Vacformed Polystyrene fuses for Trex450 (and many other small helis) the detail is amazing, they're easy to assemble and perfect weight for these small birds. And they're CHEAP too!

Ive done two Huges 500Es and a Bell 222 from him...totally amazing fuses with the very best in quality and service.

Hand's down the best maker for this size helicopter

Oh no Madani,

The A109 is my second build after the HeliArtist Hughes 500D. Hopefully it will go well.

Nope, not all are clear, It is an option with some fuselages. I may be opening up the shop to do custom finish work just email me what youre interested in.

Hey Mark,

She is very much in the starting stages. As with my Hughes, I am documenting the build. The problem is I want to my first scale attempt of a real A109 paint scheme. My biggest problem at the moment is finding some clear sticky paper to print the decals on.

Cheers,
Erick

Both the "dry rub off" and the "water slide" decal papers are great and easy to use, the water ones will need an Acrylic spray to seal in the ink before putting them in water though :)
