Also would u know where i could get a hold of spec sheets or something for these Helicopters and prices? Preferably in Brittish Pounds(Sterling)

Google Maxi-Joker2, Logo or Bergen for a starting point

Hey ochrso,

I started research late Dec last year and after reading the forums decided on the Logo 6003D flybarless. Figured that if I was going to do it I'd start with what has a good reputation and doesn't need too many upgrades, if any. I have to tell you tho that the credit card is gonna be hurting me for a few months :bawl. I'm building it at the moment but won't put it in the air until I have a fair amount of SIM time!

So, best place to look at pricing for this fella is www.realraptors.co.uk (http://www.realraptors.co.uk). They also have all the related bits and pieces like batteries, motors, ESC etc. You can check out the manual on the Mikado site: http://mikado.e-vendo.de/e-vendo.php?shop=k_mikado_e

Other sites worth checking out are: http://www.heliguy.com/ ; http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/ ; www.fast-lad.co.uk (http://www.fast-lad.co.uk) and many more.

Other helis that are well recommended are the T-Rex and the Thunder Tiger Raptors.

Another suggestion, get a copy or two of RotorWorld: http://www.rotorworld.co.uk/ and read this and other forums. I spend most time in here to be fair.

You'll need tools as well... But, we'll leave that for another post soon

Hope that helps a bit!

Hmmm, well, that depends on what you mean by "programming" the heli. The Relflex XTR SIM has a remote called an iVol that apparently will allow that sort of thing. It's called LIFE. Should allow you to set the heli up on the SIM to use in real life and then adjust back on the PC, react on feedback from the heli etc. http://www.reflex-sim.de/reflex-sim/shop/catalog/faqdesk_index.php?faqPath=127_167

The Captron/Robbe HeliComand allows to to configure/program the setting to allow for stabalisation and "autopilot" at a limited altitude. http://www.helicommand.com/home_en.html

Other heli bits 'n pieces allow for configuration/programming as well...
