Is it me or does the shaft connected to the servo that controls the pitch of the tail rotor blades fit very loose when you screw in the plastic ball links? What's the fix for this CA glue? I have the servo attached to the boom suport bracket.
Next question. What distance from the center to the ball position on the servo arm for the main collective pitch? It doensn't mention a recomended distance anywhere in the manual. Or does it and I missed it?

Thanks

I'm building the 90 3D, it has the same tail set up. What I did for the distance on the servo arm was eye ball it so the servo would travel as much as possible with out the tail binding. I have almost 180 degrees on the servo travel. I'm using the Futabe s9256, the small 6 pointed servo arm and attached the ball to the middle hole on the arm that lined up the best.

vandelescrow, I'm all set with the alignment of the ball/connector. I'm wondering about the threads on the the shaft and the very loose fit when you screw it into the ball link. Not at all as tight as the threaded rods for the rotor control. Just wondering if anyone else is like that. Was your a little on the loose side?

Helisrfun,

If the link is loose where it threads onto the pushrod, replace the link or the pushrod, or both.

The stress and vibration on the tail pushrod is quite large.

If it lets go in flight it will be extremely dangerous.

I would say there was something wrong with the ball link. Mine were tight.

I went through them and they were all loose. They fit great on the control rods. I guess the long tail servo rod is NFG.
