Hu guyz,

I'm using on my 600N 8V setup with 8717 servos.

I have a JR 8715 servo which is designed for trucks I think,
do you think this servo can handle 8V?

it realy looks very similar to 8717, the only difference is that the case is non cooler version.

By the way the cars and truck servos work on 5 cell nimhs which reach over 7 volts when are fully charged.

So I am thinking the 0.x volt will not hurt the servo but also don't want to take the risk :)

im assuming he wants to use it for the throttle?

ur right invertmast!!!

I already have the 8717's for the cyclic, but I want to use the 8715 for the throthle.

Also can any one tell me if the 8900 JR needs a 5.1V step down?

The 8900 came as combo with the 770 3D gyro.

the align step down is only a .7 volt step down, so you still wont get the necessary voltage. you'll have to get one of the new Spektrum voltage regulators that regulates the voltage to 5.5v i believe, and install it between the gyro and reciever.

invertmast at this moment i am using the 6v setup.

I am using the align 2 in 1 regulater.

So the the gyro and tail servo are receiving 6 volts i beleive.

If I use the align step down for the tail servo , u think will be ok.

After all I'm not sure if the 8900 works on 6 or 4.8V

yea,
all you'll need is the stepdown between the gyro and servo..
