I havea question for all of you out there...

I setup my GY401 and S9254 servo and i tried some warmup flights with the heli as i am trying to break in the batteries...

When yawing one way and letting go of the stick the heli snaps to a stop...but when turning to the other it has a sort of cushion effect to stopping the tail...

I have a GY401 and a 9650 on my Trex 450 and the tail setups are almost identical as far as travel limits go but yet the trex snaps on either a left or right turn...

Any ideas on how to fix this sort of cushion effect...

Oh No!!

I have the exact smae problem but greatly exagerated usinga cheapo tail servo!

I was hoping that switching to a 9254 would eliminate this altogether

Check out the thread i started as there is a lot of set up info in there for this exact problem

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=59342

The first thing i would check is the delay on the gyro with that servo must be set to 0 and aslo check its in Digital mode.

I have two friends who fly Hurricanes with Gy401 and 9254 and they are able to snap to a stop!

Read the thread there anre many great suggestions, sadly none worked for me LOL!!

i believe if you raise your epa's (or atv's, whatever your tx calls it) you'll raise the piro rate. that might make it snappier.

also if that doesn't take care of it, put the link on the servo horn furter out. this will raise the resolution.

No link further out reduces resolution. Servo does resolution by degrees, shorter arm means more degrees os servo movement for tail movement, means more steps, aka better resolution.

Further out increases speed.
