Only thing about Apollo that sucks is the gas. I guess if Jason V wants to go but we gotta figure out his motor it was acting up Sunday.

Yeah I do I was just thinking about that earlier today. I miss getting together and doing the SCHC thang. That was some cool stuff.

Anyway if he gets his bird running I am sure he will wanna go. What time are you guys thinking? I don't want to fly in the blistering heat.

Almost done getting my Knight setup. The screw holes in the frame were too small for the screws so it took me a while to drill them to the right size. Installing the servos was a pain on this heli.

I got a Trex 700 but I won't have the money for the remaining parts for awhile. I might get creative and come up with the money but it will be a couple weeks out.

Probably not going to go to Apollo too far gas is too expensive and we have a nice little hole to fly in right here.

Also I want to build my 700N this weekend I have no kids and no builds so far.

Sean,

I just got to do a true test flight, still just hovering it though. It is very locked in and stable. The engine is still running gurgling rich though, even though I've leaned it out 5 clicks from breakin settings.

I just tried to start it up again and for the second time now the fan hub has come loose. I am trying to figure out how to keep it on there without loosening.

If it is metal to metal red thread lock will for sure do it. :) Better give it 24 hours to cure though. Clean the threads good first.

Alright just went out to the big field and did a real flight on it. I had trouble getting the hyper to lean out a little and give a little more power. I was already at just 1 turn out before the backplate started to get above ambient.

Is it still choking on spool up and spitting fuel out the tail? You checked your head bolts right? Is it a new glow plug?

At one turn out I got my motor to hot enough to desolder my revo remote glow plug end. It litterally melted the solder. I keep it about 1 1/4 now. Runs good I could get more out of it but I am not interested in rebuilding my OS right now.
