Were just a group of local Santa Clarita flyer's who don't always want to drive out to the Valley to fly. I don't have much to say so if you got any "club" discussions post em here.

SCVHC FIRST OFFICIAL FUNFLY

Our first official funfly will be held on March NINTH. As Long would say there will be fun and flying for the whole day. Everyone is invited to come out, even those troublemakers as long as you have a good attitude and follow club rules.
So feel free to PM me, Helismith, Martin, or Poptart(jason) for directions to the field! Hope to see a lot of guys make it out here!

im from the valley and come out to santa clarita every now and then. where exactly do you guys fly? what are the cross streets? i have family within the cross streets of Sand Canyon and Soledad, how far is it from there?

We won't publicly list our gatherings. You can come blueprint but tell one of us when you want to go and we will let you know.

Tyler it is an all day thing if it's on a weekend I don't have my kids as always. Otherwise you have to ask the other guys if they will be there all day. I know Jason V. Martin and I will be there for the full daylight day.

Man I am nervous to run my V2 on the -6 w/11T. I am going to run CF blades but man I seen Jason Chow step down from that setup. Maybe I better wait to hook up the Ikarus 10T.

Just keep your throttle curves low. It's no big deal. The only reason why he stepped down is you can't do precise 3d with that much power.

Man I robbed a lot of parts of the Trex. Had to reinstall most of the electronics, gorilla landing gear, tail servo. Ruined my 430XL along the lines. It's so cool having two 450 helis again.

so this new scorpion motor that you guys have...how would i setup mine? I want the same headspeed as a 430XL with 13t pinion. So id say about 3100 hs?

scorpion -6 on 10t at 100% :) ........ and this motor is much harder to bog than the 430xl.

You might want to go with the -8 V2 on 13T

Sean you can fly it and you tell me. The one they flew was the pre-production one. It couldn't have had full throw because Finless told RC-TEK what to fix. Mine is full on. I can even bump it if you want me to for +/-14 and 8° cyclic.

Nice to see you've got both your birds back together Mike. So how do you like the "cheating" tool? LoL. I'm thinking of going up to a 13t soon, it felt great getting it up to 3000rpm when Jason tached it. Much more stable than the 12t.

So the Lepton isn't a very good bird? What about the Huriccane 550? I've been thinking of getting a bigger bird, but maybe not a 600 size yet, although it would be nice.

I haven't used the tool yet. I was putting the stuff on the other heli and I will just do it all in one shot. I will try to get done with it tomorrow.
