My vigor 60 met the ground today for the first time and I realized I can buy a trex 600 nitro kit for the same cost as fixing the vigor so I'm wondering will my ys st-2h .61 engine work in the trex? Luckily all my digital servos in the vigor along with the electronics are still ok.

Yup, I put one in mine, not that hard to do. There's a thread over on RR where a bunch of guys have done it, and I wrote up how to do the conversion. Basically, drill out the fan hub, and cut the crank on the engine to fit under the clutch. Then drill 2 more holes on the engine mounting lugs to match the ones on the stock engine mounts, bolt the mounts on opposite sides from what the 600N instructions say, and bolt it in. You'll need to cut the bottom frame to clear the bottom of the motor, and that's it. The entire conversion took less than an hour, and flew very well.

A governor is not neccesary if you know how to setup proper T curves (but a gov sure does make life alot easier).
