Don't know of a better place to ask this question than here in the MA forum :)

Have a friend that is selling his MA inventory and the price is right on a couple of his helis minus engines.

I need to purchase a new .90 engine and was wondering what everyone uses and/or prefers?

Have heard there are issues trying to get the OS tuned properly and right now at least the YS can not be found?

Thanks for any help:)

I just ordered a Stratus kit and after a lot of research, I decided on the OS .91 SZ-H PH Hyper with the pump. I am no expert at the .91 size nitro engines, but some guys at my local store really like this engine. While it does have the added risk of the pump, as long as the pump works well, it apparently runs great and doesn't have many issues going too rich or lean at various points during a flight as the fuel level in the tank lowers.

I have read in a lot of forums that the OS non-pumped version is very well regarded and the YS engines are also liked...so...I had to pick something!!!

Sorry I can't be more help at this time. There are a lot of opinions out there on this topic.

Good luck!

If I had 309.00, I'd get the new YS 91SR and put 8.18 ratio in Stratus. Look out!! It ROX!
Saw one fly last weekend and couldn't believe the power! Dude is running 13 deg pitch which loads it a little, but as soon as he lets off, the motor recovers very fast!
I just love YS- set and forget.
