Whats up with YS? Did they discontinue the 50ST? If they did,why? Will they replace it with another suitable 50? ....Thanks ....any info is appreciated.....

No, it seems that YS makes motors in batches. So a batch shows up, everyone has them, then they sell out, then at some point YS will make another batch and everyone will have them again.

Very strange business model, but they seem happy.

The Heli motor part of YS is sort of a hobby for them. There main business is 4 stroke motors for airplanes. Also YS is pretty much a garage operation. At least that is what I have been told by a couple of people that have visited them.

As mentioned they do the heli motors in batches. They may make some 50's in a run. Then they will make airplane motors for a while. Then they may make a run of 90's for helis. Then more airplane motors.

All the motor manufactuers pretty much tool up and make the motors in batches. Just companies like OS are bigger operations and can do it quickly.
