I started building my E4 but I'm stuck at this point. How do I install these blade holders? It may be straightforward to some but I'm stuck. It's not making any sense to me. I don't know, maybe I'm just tired...maybe if I sleep this off, it'll make sense later on but here's the pic.

How do I tighten the nut when it's inside the holder? A socket head? On the T-rex, two allen keys are used simultaneously opposite of each other. And what are soft and hard o-rings? All the parts consisting this assembly are on the pic. Help is appreciated from those who are experienced on the Beam. Thanks.

yes, you need 1 or two 5.5 nut driver to do a good job. It needs to be smaller than 8mm on outer diameter. I have crashed my beam and have to undo this now but don't have the right tool so found one on helidirect

How's the quality of the beam kit?

very High. Everything fits together in a breeze and there is no slope. And now I now it repairs quite easily too :) Very easy to get to sub assembly quickly.

Say Wheat! I bet there is a e-beam forum soon. Unless there is already and I missed it.

Quality is very good on this heli. I'll bring it to the dome this weekend. I'm not sure which night I'm going to be there yet. I'll keep you updated as I need your expertise on the 200.

Frebou, I'm still stomped on the blade holders. I got the tools for the nuts.

But I'm still confused as how the parts would go. According to the manual, this is how the parts go, right? The washers go behind or outside the blade holder

OR, can the washers go inside the blade holder like so?

I dont have a Beam but it looks like the small (brass colored) washer is the wrong one? Shouldnt the small (outside) washer be big ebough to cover the ball bearings and be concave instead of flat?

Send a PM to Finless. He'll know.

that looks to be wrong to me

that little brass "washer looks to be in the wrong place.....I believe it goes in between the blade grip/bearing and rubber dampener......inside the blade grip gets the 3 pc thrust bearing and nut only....

that's the way I read your instrustion sheet anyway

Brass spacers go between the dampers and the grip. Be sure to put the large washer with big inner hole between the T-Bearing and R-Bearing.

Go look at my Trex V2 builds and some of the other helis I did with thrust bearings (like the Logo500 or Trex500). they are pretty much the same. Your pictures look like you are missing one of the thrust bearing races!!!! It is SUPER important you get the larger ID race in first followed by the ball bearing race (grease it and cupped side IN) followed by the smaller inner race. There should be a brass spacer that goes in first before the thrust bearings 3 piece set and finally the nut.

I got these pics from AdvantageHobby.com. Looking at the pics, which part or parts am I missing from my kit?

I've put this build on hold till I see Bob's how-to video on the kit. And if I'm missing any part(s), I want to get it right away so I'll be ready for the build.

The grip with longer neck (area between grip flat area and grip arm ) is for the non thrust and the one with shorter neck is for the thrusted. The picture shows non thrusted. So, the thrust bearing is not shown there.
