with all the talk on the Z power motors, I am thinking I will give one a try, I have been very happy with the performance of my rcp H18 1100kv 1000w, but if I can get equal performance with longer flights that would be great. so anyone have a extra Z 20 980, or who has the best prices in the states on them? or would a Z 30 better suit me? can I use the Z 30 800kv?
Mild 3d I will be running 6s lipo and 8s A123.

I got mine here http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=18_76&products_id=1018 and they had it to me in three days but it looks like they are on back order and they also go the Chineese New Year going on this week. HeliDirect has the same motor under the name Tonic-X here http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=386&products_id=6027 HeliDirect also has very good service.

also can a z-30 800 be run on a 50 amp esc?
I was flying the Z20A 980 motor pretty hard yesterday. The Eagle Tree recorder logged less than 40A. I was able to pull 78A on my RCP H/18 motor the same maneuver :( . I am very impressed with this motor now. I was able to add 1:30 min of mild 3D flying to my 3200 packs and 1 min to my 2200 packs.
The motor is just warm at the end of the flight. I bought the motor from HeliDirect for $95.
