Hello everyone, I have the stock blade grips and I fly the hdx fiberglass blades, they are a bit tight in the grips and was wondering what everyone else is using? I have used the align wooden and they are tight also, however I have some night blades that are perfect, which ones work best for you guys.

I use the align 325 pro mostly. I have a set of rotortech CF blades for it.

Still on the stock CF blades that came with mine (only a few flights so far). They fit perfectly in the grips on mine.

I fly the Trex woodies, they do fit very tightly but it hasnt caused any problems. In fact i think Finless made a mention that the blades should fit tightly but dont quote me.

hey everyone, since starting this thread I have flown with the align woodies, the HDX Fiberglass ones, My off brand Night Flying blades from Helidirect.com and some off brand woodies. Here are my results.

Align 325 Woodies. I like these blades, they have been balanced great from the package and all I have had to do is track them and fly, they are tight but with centrifugal force they spin true and fly great.

HDX Fiberglass. I like these blades also but require some attention before they fly well. I have had to sand them a little and definitely balance, I have 3 sets and they all are out of balance from the factory. I use electrical tape and I also got a new balancer from Helidirect.com just for these blades. I like the stiffness and they are a little tougher than the woodies.

Night Blades. I love these things, the balance is great and have only a couple of flights but love the looks and the weight of them, I like how it mellows the aircraft for night flying.

Off Brand Woodies. These were tight and not balanced and fell apart quickly, I don't like them and am not buying them again, for the couple of bucks I would say the align are worth the price.

With all that info I would suggest the Align ones and fly them till they break, I am not great at 3d but have fff flight, some nose in, and great at side in and bailing out of the roll that doesn't quite go as planned. I don't like flying my night blades all the time because of the cost.

Also along the lines of saving money. My buddy who is also about the same skill level bought some great looking Curtis Youngblood Carbon fibers. They were sweet, and balanced, and fit his TREX wonderfully, but since he isn't quite perfect at flying and didn't really notice the difference flying, he was severely disappointed when he crashed those sweet blades and destroyed them and other parts. Very expensive first pack of the day. I think if he stuck with woodies he would be a little less disappointed, he agrees.
