Friday was a light turn out but lots of fun. Some guys layin' down the "SMACK" early, or, I guess just warming up for Saturday. Matt Botos not only laid it down with his Stratus, but put a Trex 450 through its paces also. I've never seen a micro heli flown like that before....awesome! :noteworthy :glasses2:

We'll be heading over bright and early!
Gonna try a 'speriment with my 400 watt inverter, the gel cells and a shop fan....
The wife might melt.. right after I do! :)
Math says I get 5 hours out of it..we'll see.

Good turnout for a hot and humid day.
Got my new skins from Ricko, wow is the canopy pretty!!
Inverter overheated after 2 hours. But it soldered some lipos for Ray while running the fan after cooldown. Almost worked....

On behalf of our club and the heli flyers at our club, THANKS VERY MUCH for all the support and great flying, the turnout was great, even considering all the evening thunderstorms that have gone through, I wish the grass wasnt so thick, it was mowed Thursday before the event and looked like it hadnt been touched. If you won a prize please remember to thank the vendors that made this stuff possible as well. THANKS again I had a great time and will spend some time repairing my Raptor from sudden deceleration trauma. :D
THX!,

IT WAS REALLY HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bomb:
the scale guy, Darrell Sprayberry, had it going on in the scale department. I told him if he had a little speaker unit in there sounding out the infamous 'whoop-whoop' sound the huey is well known for, you would have never know it was a model.

Yes, it was hot, and sticky, I was wore out Sunday morning. I am glad everyone had a great time, and thanks for the good feedback reports, it means a lot to me and all those involved and I am sure thats ditto for the other events as well. It lets us know all the work wasnt in vain. There are pictures at http://www.ncrcf.org/ghr1a.htm of almost everyone and all the helis, sorry if anyone was left out. If you didnt make it you missed a good time and my crash! I tried to get rid of some of the fast growing grass around the flight line with my 50 :D :D

It was great fun and hotter than hell. I promise to be back next year and to even do my OWN autos this time and win the thing (unless my alter, slimmer ego HC competes)!

Look forward to seeing you next year Charlie, One of the plank guys in our club is a proffesional photographer and volunteered his services for the event. The high res images are really awesome! Many of his photos have been in several diff flying magazines. His name is John Krickel, very funny nice fella, I will relay the compliments.
