View Full Version : Helicopter Clubs in Southern CA
Anyone aware of any Helicopter groups in Southern California near Corona, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Murrieta or Temecula? I’ve been searching the web and although I find plenty of Plane groups, I can’t seem to locate a group into heli’s.
Thanks in advance!

There is a group that flies in the Palomar area but I'm not sure who and where.
I would fly Palomar if I knew where they flew. I have a good friend down there I could visit at the same time.

Airboss is right, Circle City Flyers has a pretty good heli crowd.
Menifee Valley Flyers is a nice group. We're mostly planks, but our current president is trying to attract more heli flyers, having become a recent convert himself.
The atmosphere is very laid back, and plankers and heli flyers get along well.

FANTASIC information!!!!
Thank you soooo much. Just getting ready to purchase a Trex 450se v2 (in a week or two) so wanted to at least start finding people around the area. I’m lucky in the since I have a LARGE field on one side of my backyard and a school field on the other side of the backyard (glad that no homes have gone up in the field yet) so I can fly right out my back door, but to have people to talk to that are into the same stuff would be nice J

Flying with more experienced pilots is a good idea, Airboss helped me out a lot as well as a lot of other people. Finless Bobs videos are a great source of info also, so in that sense he's helped me out too. :smokin:

FYI: Palomar Flyer's field is at the NE corner of the intersection of I-15 and S-76. Exit I-15 and head East. Look for the sign on the left and go through the gate. Kinda hard to miss.
