Would a battery like this be OK for basic flying, no 3D stuff? I'm still building, but will be using a 21T(.5Mod) or a 15T(.7Mod) pinion.

Thanks.

515's or 550's, V-bar or flybared? Are you asking because you already have the pack?

Flybared and most likely 515's. I don't have one of these, but I've seen them in the $130 range. At half the price of an FP 5000 it got me thinking.

I would go for an A123 pack - 7s2p A123 would be comparable in terms of capacity and price, and would have a much higher current rating.

10C is a little on the low side, even with "normal" flying. You wouldn't want to puff your pack. You quickly go above the 50A!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I looked at the A123 batteries for my TREX, but they didn't make much sense. I'll have to look at them again for the Logo. Does anyone sell these in that configuration or would these be grow your own? I'm not opposed to that, but pre-made packs would be nice.

Thanks.

They'd be grow-your-own, at least if you want them at a reasonable price - which is the whole reason you're considering 10C 5000mAh packs in the first place.

I agree - logo packs are a bit fiddly. I built some 9s2p packs for my logo 600 and they're not much fun as you have to do some origami with the cells in order to get them into a stick configuration. But I like them and whilst I won't say it's a smoking setup, it's certainly quite zippy.

65mm heatshrink makes for a very solid pack.
