Do you need the govener mode to fly better with the zoom 400?
Also what setup for the CC Ph25 esc? Startup etc...

Hi,

You want to set your Phoenix for Soft start. Also, make sure you set the brake to disabled as well as the cutoff to Soft .

People have mixed sucess with the gov mode. It has always worked fine for me so I would suggest trying it and if it seems the throttle is hunting (this is the common complaint) then you can use the fixed mode and set a throttle curve in your transmitter like we do with our nitro ships.

I have tried it but I wanted to know what other pilots are using. What is your pitch for the zoom?

Hi,

I'm not sure what my pitch is as I don't have a pitch guage that can measure the beast. I'm running about 2400 head speed and I set the endpoints of my pitch curve so the motor does not bog.

I have a CC35 in my zoom and I found I have to use the low gov mode in order to have any control over the head speed. This is with using the latest V1.14 software. I emailed castle about this but I have yet to hear back from them.
