I'm using the TT header tank. Only took about 10mins to install, great result.

For some reason I just don't trust the blue fuel tubing I used on the clunk....seems a little stiff.....I can't find any limber enough....

This works well: http://www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=801648

You don't really need a header tank. It's personal choice and possibly a piece of mind though.

The Hayes black line is great stuff. Very flexible and strong. Just remember that when it hits fuel for the first time it will expand a good bit so you should either cut it shorter than you need or you could just pre-soak a usable length and trim it up later.

If you want to cut it short and just install it, you may need to experiment a bit depending on the length you need. For the header, I'd nip off somewhere between a quarter and half an inch, fill it with fuel, and let it sit overnight. Then check it the next day and adjust as needed. That's what I did anyhow.

Another interesting side affect is it will dye the fuel (pink turns purple). Not sure if that would harm the engine or not but it's probably best to just dump the stuff and start fresh.

As far as whether or not you should use a header tank. The general consensus is that it is personal choice and doesn't dramatically affect performance of fuel delivery one way or the other. Do a search and you'll find a plethora of threads on this topic.

Matter of choice. A header is a header. I use the Thunder Tiger because it was the only one at the LHS at the time.
I think they are good to use. Nice way of gauging just how much time you have left to land, once air begins displacing fuel in it.

header tank? whats a header tank? lol.. no need for one on my heli... But on previous heli's i've used: TT, Mavrick, Quik UK, etc. they pretty much all use the same hayes 2oz tank. they just come with different mounting brackets.

I just installed a Raptor header tank on my 600N and it's great. I'm still hovering around getting used to the bird and I hated when it would lean out at the end of a tank. Now I just set my timer for 8 minutes and put around. I keep landing thinking, "it's not 8 minutes yet?".
