Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my newest addition to my fleet. Pretty stock standard as far as set up goes.
Just waiting on some morer parts and she should be right to go. Im a little unsure about my wire routing with all the talk about glitches but I like it and I guess I will find out once I start flying her.

Thanks for looking.

NIce. To be on the safe side, ground the esc to the motor mount. Not very hard to do and cheapest insurance.

I was planning on doing that anyways. Just to clarify but are people grounding the black wire to the motor mount? The black wire that goes to the Rx not the motor right?

Thanks

i think you are meant to ground the black negative wire from the esc to the motor mount

I.E. the black wire that runs from the esc to the deans plug run a ground wire from this wire to the screw that goes into the side of the motor mount plate

you can just solder it to the deans plug end and then to said screw with a ring type connector there by grounding the motor

well that is how i understand it anyway

i would just scrape the plating off the screw both under the head and the thread for some better conductivity to the plate

Get some shrink on those motor wires! Otherwise looks good to me-good luck on the maiden! As far as grounding, it's the negative wire to battery you want, and to hide it you can sandwich it inbetween the frame and motor mount. (It looks cheesy to my eyes bolted to the outside of the frames)

Wow. What are you doing with the Rx antenna wires? You're asking for trouble.

I hope your connectors between the ESC and the motor are not fully connected. Otherwise they are just "screaming" for a short circuit.

Furthermore I would still recommend that you replace the male part of the "bullet connectors" because the stocks ones are way to tight.

Dont stress guys, I have not put the motor connectors all the way in yet. They are just partially in.

Whats up with my Rx wires? I did think they were too far in and close to other wires. Is this what you mean? Or do you think the red wires are my Rx wires. If so they are not, they are the wires that ground my boom.

Also the bird is not finished yet, I plan on using an external BEC and then she should be right to go.

Thanks for your help guys.
