Hi, i have got a 600 pro and the servo's im using are all only 4.8v compatable (9252 on cyclic, 9256 on tail and 9254 on throttle) question is can i use a 5.1 step down between the 2in1 reg and the reciever so it drops everything down to 5.1v using just 1 step down or do i need 5 separate step downs for each servo?
many thanks
Matt.

in order to do that your going to need a regulator. not a step down..
I'm using 9252's on 6volts for well over 200 flights now w/o any issues. the 9256 can NOT run on 6.0v so run the stepdown between the gyro and that servo. 9254 i'm not sure if it can run on 6v or not. i believe it can though.

Invertmast is right, the stepdown is only good for one servo.

can you tell me why, ive flown like this for over 100 flights and no problems, this is how i was told to do it by several people but some1 at my field today told me to change it but couldn't give me a reason why!
thanks.

The stepdown is only rated for 1A which is way too low for all your components. You are running around 3A through it, 3 times the rated maximum.
You have been lucky so far, also the stepdown does not output 5.1v - it isn't regulated. Inside is just a small diode. Have a read here

thanks for the quick reply's!
On the instructions for the Align step down it shows two diagrams, one with the step down between the gyro and tail servo and the other diagram shows it between the 2 in1 regulator and RX (the way im running it) so it drops all servo's and it also says the step down is 5A.

Ah its the 'two way' you have, yeah thats good for 5A
