This is my second year of flying helis and I stuffed my spec yesterday :( At first I thought I would be buying a new kit, she look bad but things are not as bad as I thought, I did break the main frames, tank tray, bent both alum risers, two servo cases and the regular head stuff... I think the final tally will be about $650 can. dollars.
As far as I can tell I lost the batt. in a fast piro and she came down full throttle from about 200 ft nose first into the ground. If there is a lesson to be learned here, it's not fly without your canopy... I was just hovering around and got a bit carried away...
Hopefully I'll have the parts next week and will be back in the air for the next weekend!
Cheers all

Ouch, sorry to hear about your crash. Not to bad damage considering a 200' full throttle crash nose first!! Rebuild and go fly, get back on the horse and ride.

Sorry to hear about your crash. But don't be lulled into thinking if the canopy had been on the same thing would not have happened. The canopy being not on the model should have nothing to do with the battery coming loose. If the canopy had been on it, I am sure the same thing would still have happened if the battery was not secured good enough.

I hear ya DH, I just thought that if I had the canopy on the batt might have stayed inside and possibly not come unplugged...? Lessons learned and will be sure to take more care to secure the batt :!: :!: :!:
