So if I crash and damage the new grey gears how do I get replacements? I was told that the only way to upgrade the new gears was to send it in for updating.
Does this mean I have to send it in after a crash? Will Rick's or other shops start carring the new gears?

I bought a spare set from Ray's Heli Resource (RHR) who advertizes on the front page here.
THey are like ANYTHING else on our helicopters .. Replacable. ;

All of the hei suppliers should have them. If they do not, then they did not order them from MA.
Replacement is very simple.

I understand replacement is very simple that's why I was a little pissed off I couldn't just order the gears and do it myself. They (MA) told me I had to send it in.
Just wanted to know if it would continue with spares.

MA does offer the gears without instaliation. I think the ones in the picture are black. I think the part number is still the same for the new grey gears. You just press/drive the roll pins out and install the new gears. This is the link for the gears.

Thanks for the info. I sent it in and was supposed to be back today but there's no sign of it.
