View Full Version : Is my servo toast?

Hi folks,

Recently had a crash on my 600N and have lots of things broken! However, probably the most expensive single part to break is one of my cyclic servos, a S9451.

I opened it up and checked the gears, and everything looks fine. When I apply power/signal to the servo with the stick centred, it moves to almost one end of the travel. when I apply some input with my DX7, the travel of the servo is very little. It moves about a 1/8 of what it used to move?

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks,

loiphin.

There is a plastic plate that goes in the bottom of the main output gear. This plate controls the pot on the servo. I would think the plate is busted.

All the gears are metal except for the one plastic gear. Check the plastic gear closely and see that no teeth are missing.

You can buy the plate separate that goes in the output gear. I just don't remember the part number.

You've yet to post back. Did this fix the problem?
