i think that the slow stick must hold the record for the longest threads. i stopped flying planes about 5 years ago, recently got a slow stick. I'm still shaky trying to fly something without ailerons but the sim will take care of that. I'm always heading for a light pole after take off and trying to change course with non-existant ailerons. fortunately a very forgiving plane, 3 'crashes' no damage ...........yet.

RF3, moded the 'basic park flyer' to fly without aileron servos; its close but not floaty enough to be a true SS. i'm waiting for the brushed motor to give out so i can install my el-cheapo brushless ( Hobby lobby ST400XT), maybe i just need a prop change ( stock is 10x8, i think). i installed ski's made from foam and it needs a rather long run before it gets off the snow.

Sweet. The slow V flys similar on my simulator. Im also learning rolling harrier now!!!

I just built and maidened a slow stick yesterday. It was a lot of fun and a nice change of pace from my helis. I felt relaxed after flying the SS not all jittery like after flying helis. I use RF 3.5 and was able to download a SS model. It is not brushless like mine, so it feels down on power but it flies pretty much the same. I bought the slow stick to fly while waiting for my T-Rex 500 packs to recharge. I was able to build the entire plane for about $30 less than what one FP Evo25 6s 2500 pack cost me. All in all it is a fun plane and I can see myself flying it regularly in the future.
