You see tons of "NEW" parts that should give you some 3D work...
And what is exactly is new? some info and more pictures on this new parts would be nice! There is still old pictures from the first lepton and some from the first prototype hdx500... how exactly should we "customers" know what we actualy buying?
And how much new upgrades do we have to buy to get this heli 3D? :( there is everyday a "NEW" part and the heli isnt still anywhere near 3D capability.
they should just put Fast Forward Heli on the box an "NO 3D" and we all can be happy!
I realy think that I have been ****** after 700$ on heli and a new motor (I hate to cook my egs on my motor), esc (I like a softstart and not **** my gears wich arent strong anyway and did I mention the "NO GOODS" upgrades etc... never mind... I prever to put this heli just on the street and not spending any cent anymore and dreaming just this part and everything should be ok... just this part and everything should be ok.
p.s: sorry for my pour english... but its still beter then this 3D heli

hopefully v.xyz mod:234 rev:abc will fix all these issues. I am finding this heli is always a work in progress. I am seriously thinking about getting a new bright yellow canopy painted: "Under Construction"

We could go about things in 2 ways. Either not say anything and just release the final product as such. Or like we have been doing keeping you guys informed of progress and flight reports. Let me tell you this heli will 3D and I do not have all of the new parts on mine.
I see the smart comments about rev 123 ver 1.6 etc.. so if you prefer I will just keep quiet until everything is in place. This way it wont get so confusing for you guys, I'm just trying to help by keeping you guys informed of progress.

I am Eagerly awaiting the new RV frames and the new larger main gear, then I think this will be a fantastic heli.
Whack an 8S power supply in and Yeeehawww.
I for one am enjoying hearing about the work being done to improve this heli. I will wait though till all the bits are finalised before I go out and bit for bit purchase upgrades.

I can't account for crash, but I am referring not so much to the upcomming releases...but more to the already released. I believe Crash was pointing out that you already have several versions plus updated parts for which HD's site is very very vague. It is very hard sometimes to know what part goes where and the new parts, well lets face it, they don't come with very much description. You guys throw them up on the site and then we all have to hit the forums and ask what they do.
I don't think anyone is going to bad mouth the testing and production of a new heli that is supposed to be fixing all the problems we are having. I love hearing about the new stuff that is comming.

Hey guys, if you got some specific questions I will try to help with answers. Just shoot me a PM or post it in here. I usually check things once a day if not twice and I will get back to you asap.
From what I know with the testing I have done is this: the heli will 3d, I had tail issues, so I made my own pulley and tested it. It helped a lot. so you will see a new tail ratio. I use a full size servo on the tail, works better when pushing it. a mid wil hold fine for general flying and aerobatics, but if you want to beat on it use the full size servo.
I'm also pushing for new tail grips. This will help us tremendously with blade choices. I actually had an idea, if it works the new tail will be easy to implement and open things up as far as choices go with tail blades.
I really want to help out all of the guy who have the old kit and are disapointed with its performance. The new stuff works guys, hang tight just a bit longer and you should be happy with the improvements.

I am glad for the testing and work that you are putting into this heli to improve it, it helps those that have one already as well as future buyers. I know it can take a lot of time to go through the process, I have done it on other things including full sized aircraft (12"/foot) and it can be very time consuming and aggrevating at times..... If you have not been involved in such a process it does seem odd from the outside - but in the end we will get a more capable and reliable machine and that's what we all want.

that you work hard one this heli is somthing that I can belive... but I assume that you dont do it for free and as custumer we are not getting this things for free... so when I buy something, I want it to performe as description. I dont mind that you release some parts earlyer then others. I do mind that there is no discription what so ever! you never know what is the diffrent between the last one and the new one until you buy it! so we keep buying new parts wich dont function until the whole head problem is solved using more parts wich arent on the site yet.
for example;
http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=253&products_id=6211
Do you see any diffrent on the picture? or do you see any discription?
the only way to find out what the diffrent is, was reading this topic.
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=59670
The custumer THINK that this new version will solve some problems on binding... but its actualy saving couple of grams! I mean make it 50g heavier but make it working !
The biggest problem is the fact that there is almost no information about the parts. You spend days/week/months to design this parts... just spend a few momments to put some discreption on the site.
I am not trying to bring down you! Helidirect is very very good shop and I always was/am happy about the shippments, prices etc.... I hoop that this will give you an idee way me and I know for sure a lot other custumers are unhappy. Its not about the parts, but the information about the parts.
Hey Crash1000,
I'm with you totally. However, it is NEW as it said :noteworthy, and it won't help to fly3D. They may release this because the original one was very loose on the holes that hold the bearings to the head (at least on mine and three others at our local field.) If you put the part on its side (either side), the bearing will drop out freely. It is definetely a manufacture defective part. One of our guy called HD, and all they reply that "it's an OK part." Yeah, it is OK, but you will loose the precision in controlling the cyclic. I have not seen HD stepping up to replace their defective part yet, but at least Gaui did to their customers (please read this post http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=59940.) I am with my HDX-500SE and driving around with my trailer, and continue to laugh and flying with folks around the country.
Keep up with this and HD will response. I believe that.

TICIDYTOC:
I have one of the old kits, the HDX500SE. I'm curious how you plan on helping out all of us who have the old kits who are disappointed with the performance.

After a crash yesterday, I have been trying to fix my heli today.... and geus what... my spare tailboom support dosn't fit! so I compare it to the old one wich was broke and yep there we go again! the silver thing where you screw it to the frame is shorter then the broken one, so you cant screw it tight otherwise you will hit the side of the frame en bend the tailboom support. So I just cut a little pice of my frame and fit it anyway, the only bad thing is that my frame can break on the next crash. (the screwhole is now to close to the eadge of the frame)
I heard someone say that HD need some better quality controll, they already do! otherwise the woudnt make the new parts diffrent. I mean there is no way that there cnc machines are this bad to make it 3mm shorter!! they just make improvments on each next part that they make. BUT.... the dont put away the crappy parts.... NO they just send us those parts. Thats way we get some good parts and some crappy one, it is some kind of lotery wich parts you get. I mean they have put there money on this parts and I understand that someone have to pay for it. This time was my turn to pay :( I will just order a new hub and after that my heli is fixed and is going to the ebay. poor next owner.
ticidytoc i bought a HDX500 V2 were do i get list of parts for it not parts for the outher 500 for the V2
I have not crashed mine yet, but I ordered my heli from helidirect.com. I believe helidirect.com is the originator of HDX-500SE, so they should carry enough part for your heli.
