Hello everyone

i was going to use this rx with my trex 500 but i don't understand how i can change gyro channel assignment from radio menu; on 9303X Gyro is on AUX2 ( AUX1 is for governor ) and AR6200 has only AUX1 ( assigned for pitch )

thanks, Jack

You'll need to use your gear channel for your gyro gain. Unfortunately, the 9303 won't allow your gyro sense on the gear channel, so you'll have to use the travel adjust menu to set your gain.

Unless you plan on staying close to yourself you may want to spend the extra cash and get an AR7000;)

I Don't want to put false faith in anything, but I fly a Stryker on an AR6100 and have never gotten out of range. Believe me, I've definately tried putting it to the test, too. At 80+ MPH, it gets quite a ways away in a short order.:)
He's right, though....an AR7000 will give you the AUX2 channel you're wanting and will give you a bit of a warm fuzzy of having a receiver designed for larger aircraft...let's face it, that Stryker's just a chunk of foam, I don't really care much about it.:P

I also have an AR7000 rx but 6200 was already mounted on 500 cause i was flying it with my DX7 radio !!!

Anyway no problem ..... i'll install the 7000 !!!

bye bye ;)

There is no real difference in the absolute range capability of the different Rxes. It is just that closer in you have more multipath and less likelihood of shadowing.

Some guys over on RCG tested the range of a few of the Rxes and while the AR7000 was more solid out at 1.5 miles (ground to ground) the AR6000 and AR6100 still had a connection.

Yep I have never gone out of range either with my AR6100 foamy (BTW: I flew the snot out of it last weekend :P till it fell apart due to previous crashes :() But on my expensive helicopters an AR7000 or better for piece of mind.

FYI the AR 6200 with sat RX is suppose to have the same range as the AR7000....
The 6100 has the shorter range for park flyers... PER Spektrum!

But it is NOT a absolute range issue. It is a shadowing issue.

the 6200 is the full range version of the 6100.it has the added satalite rx.

For you guys who have the 9303 with the 7000 or 9000 setup for Gyro Sensing, I have a question. On my Futaba radios, I had multiple "dial" controls and used one of those for adjusting the remote gain. There are no such dials on the 9303, so even if you use something other then the Gear channel, what's the benefit? I'm probably missing something simple here.

Thanks,
Lee

You can assign one of 3 different gain settings to each flight mode. That's one thing I miss about my 9CS, which could have a different setting for each of all 5 flight modes, and didn't require a 7ch. Rx to do so. I guess if you wanted to change it on the fly you could use one of the side levers for gyro gain on the 9303, just not w/ the gyro menu. Doing this however would still require a 7ch. Rx and it would be easy to bump into and screw things up.

I gotcha. Not sure I would want to do that. If I can't adjust it variably, I don't see much point.
