can someone who had their XES cnc head taken apart please measure their bearings? readyheli doesn't list a bearing that matches the measurments i'm taking off of my bearings. i'm measuring 13mm OD, 5mm ID with a thickness of 4mm. the closest one ready lists is 5mm x 4mm x 11mm, am i missing something?

Somebody PMd me that these are the same bearings. I ordered a pack, but haven't tried installing them yet.

Here is a picture of the CNC grips....kind of hard to read small print but it's in the new 550 manual.

Bearing size show 5 mm X 13mm X 4 mm it is different than the plastic grips..

also make sure thrust washer with LARGER hole is closest to the rear bearing.

those are the measurements that i got too, so i know i don't have a polish caliper. looks like readyheli doesn't stock the correct size. mine didin't come with that page in the instructions.

Bocca has them for a couple of $$ see the above page.

Cheapest Boca is $4.

But if you look at the bearings in the grip, they look like a smaller bearing in a cage to space out to the 13 mm OD. The Century bearing I listed looks exactly the same.

another weird thing, one grip had two rubber shielded bearings and the other one had one rubber shielded and one hybrid- rubber shield on one side and metal shield on the other. that's a bit strange.

Not in the CNC grips. They need 5x13x4, not 5x11x4, bearings.

PC your right I kept getting the two sizes mixed up.....don't see any inexpensive bearings anywhere.

Maybe RH can get some in since several people will be needing them in the future. But I guess in the meantime...$4.00 isn't bad if it's got you grounded....

Just skip one cup of Starbucks...and it's paid for !!

this kinda sucks, because it's going to cost me to ship my grips to gaui almost as much as it'd cost just to buy new grips. i emailed readyheli about the bearing size, thinking maybe the 5x11x4 was a typo error or something. it's not, they don't stock the right size. but get this- readyheli offered to sell me a new set of grips with the bearings installed for just the cost of shipping! how's that for taking care of customers! i kinda felt bad taking advantage of the deal, seeing as it's not their fault by any means. but i could not pass it up, so i also ordered the cnc seesaw and a bunch of other stuff. i couldn't just take the deal and then not give them any business. i'm not sure how they stay in business, given how supportive they are to their clients. i guess that's why they're in business. everybody knows how good they are. i can't wait until the next time i go to florida, even if the store is hours out of my way, i'm going. i've got to meet them in person, and shake hands. i'll most likely walk out of the store broke though lol.

These bearing just seem to be more expensive.

But like I said earlier, if you look at the bearings in the CNC grips, they look like they are a 5x11x4 bearing with a carrier around them. So they are like the Century ones. The Century ones are $9.95 for a pair, but seem like the exact replacement.

And yes, RH should get Gaui to supply replacment bearings.
