Today my Superframe FSE ( HDX450-FSEB ) arrived along with the main gears/taildrive system ( HDX450-GS106 ). The problem I am having is the bushing above the main gear is too thick which causes
the tail drive gear to hit the frame. Also, the bearings on the tail drive shaft appear to be about
1/32" too far apart and the bearing block tabs dont line up with the cutouts in the frame. Did I order the wrong gear set ?

Update: Had to grind 3/32" off of the autorotation sleave and use the thinner washer from a MX400.
Now the main gear assembly has the proper clearance top and bottom. On the tail drive I
had to press the upper bearing down 1/32". Everything fits ok now.

Interesting-I have a Superframe STK.
Is the main gear set (GS106T) the new dark blue ones with 4 screws holding the one way bearing?Supposed to be compatible with Align main gears so maybe they sent you the thicker spacer for the earlier light blue main gear.
I have a good stock of the light blue gears but must remember this when I have to go to the new version.
Thanks for sharing-will save me a headache in the future.
Question for Helidirect ?
With the new HDX450-GS106T-can we use the Align thinner spacer and auto rotation sleeve or do we need the original thicker spacer and sleeve ?
Thanks

Yes,it is the dark blue style with 4 screws holding the hub on.The sleave and spacer on the right is
what came with mine and I had to modify it to look like the sleave and spacer on the left.

Looks like they have changed from their light blue main gear assembly with thick spacer to the dark blue Align type with thin spacer. Not sure ?
Thanks for sharing-just as well I have 10 of the light blue main gears plus three complete light blue assemblies :)

As a side note, since I am building this from the ground up, I plan on using a KASAMA head on
it and a NIX tail assembly along with a SCORPION motor and QUARK 33 esc. Not sure
which tail servo to use though. I have a fut. 9257 that I could use but would rather use something
lighter. Any suggestions.

Do a search on the main Trex 450 forum-lots of discussion on tail servos.
I am only a learner flyer so am keeping my setup simple.

I am very happy with the logictech 2100t and servo combo...beats my 401/ 9254 combo(now back in the box for my experimental logo 10.

I ended up installing a 401 / 9257 setup. I was going to use a kasama head on it but decided not
to after reading about problems with the blades being too tight in the grips. I just ordered a
walkera 60 metal head from cnchelicopter and plan to modify it to fit.

I just got the frame and boom, I am using a trex tail rotor assemble, but didnt decide on a head yet, looking to do some custom work with the bearing blocks...
