That looks fantastic Mate. Nice and clean, probably the way the Ion-x2 should have looked imop. I esp. like the bottom motor shaft bearing, brilliant.
If MA had had gone with this simple upgrade, together with offering a wider Ion canopy with front canopy stand-off extensions (to accomodate larger/wider batteries), they would have sold a lot more Ion's imop.

Hi Dan, it's a Scorpion 4025-10 ... they are somewhere around $105.00. this is a airplane motor but they are working on some more heli specific motors. they already make several smaller ones...

we had a littler trouble with the esc on our spool up test...at least i think it was the esc....
got some more experimenting to do.

Yea Chuck that bottom bearing support is a great idea, nice install man. I look forward to hearing some reports on how it runs for sure. ;)
