This is probably a naive question, but I need to ask. What is the difference between the V-Bar system and the stablization systems like the ones from FMA Direct and Spartan RC? Spartan RC claims one design goal is to stabalize mutli-head or flybarless heli's. There is a significant difference in cost between these two systems so I'm wondering.

Thanks.

I only have the v-bar system. Mine is a 3-axis system which does not need a tail gyro, just a good quality tail servo. I don't know about the others, what little I have heard leads me to believe that they are 2-axis systems and you still buy a tail gyro in addition to the stabilization system. That helps offset the cost of the 3-axis system.

FMA Direct and Spartan RC are mainly use to keep a heli level and mainly use in AP work. The Spartan RC is just ccpm mixer, if you want to use it for flybarless application, you need to add two gyros. The V-Bar is design specifically for flybarless. It is an all-in-one unit (ccpm mixer and 3 gryos) It can be use for both scale helis or 3D.
