it seems like a great buy for 950.what do you guys think.i need some advice here on 5 hours left.
thank you again for all the helo bill
not sure if I am too late but it looks good to me I fly a raptor 90se here in the uk and it cost over £1400 altold so if it ready to fly with gear and tranny go for it, if you have not flown a 90 before you are in for a treat.

Too late. I bought it. Thanks for the heads up. It's a fantastic deal, all tricked out with the best stuff. I can't wait to fire this bad boy up.
make sure if its your first 90 you have a good starter as a normal 12v will not be man enough. I got throgh two brand new ones before I started to use a 24v gel cel with a dynatron

i havent bidded yet,so what do you guys think of the package deal if i can get it for 950.00?the guy said it is about 2 years old, never flown.he said it will need some final adjustments to fly.i was going to buy a raptor 30 or 50 package, since this is my first heli.but since i was going to spend almost that for those.i thought i would be better of spending the extra now?their is 4 hours left.
thanks again bill

The price seems pretty decent. For the cost, if you found anything you didn't like it would probably still be worth it after an upgrade. Just remember that 90s are thirsty. Your fuel bill we be fairly high and as a first chopper, repairs after a crash will be expensive too.

I see the bidding is over. Did you win? I see the shipping is $100, are you located close enough to the seller (Wasilla, AK, United States) to pick it up for less than that on fuel costs?

I wouldn't be caught dead with those servo's on the swash.... The rest of it seems decent stuff for some normal flying.

What you need to be asking yourself is "What can I afford to repair?". General wisdom is go with the biggest heli you can afford to fly and maintain. The bigger they are, the more stable they are. 90's are usually considered to be a little beyond a beginner's heli. They are thirsty so fuel costs are high. Blades and other parts cost quite a bit more than a smaller heli, so your average crash cost will be quite a bit higher as well. If you want nitro, a 50 sized is probably a better starting point. A T-Rex 600N or one of the Raptor 50's are great choices with easy parts availability and a much lower average crash cost. Any way you slice it, you're looking at $1000+ for a complete setup. When I add up the flight line equipment, chargers, radio and flight electronics, my Titan 50 came out at about $1400CDN.
I know there will be others that tell you a 90 is fine for a first heli. I'm not saying it isn't. Just make sure that you can afford to crash it because you will, and make sure you can afford to feed it because burning a gallon of fuel in a weekend is not beyond the realm of possibility.
When you compare what a new complete setup costs, that 90 is fairly well priced, even with shipping. But as mentioned you're probably going to want to change those 3151 servos. They don't have near the torque you should be using with a 90. I used Hitec 5625s (http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=HITHS5625S) on my Titan. Compare that to those 3151s (http://www.servocity.com/html/s3151_sport_ball_bearing.html)

I agree with ghtracey on the price is right. I'm builing a R90 3D and I have about $2,500 invested sofar.
