I'm sure someone knows this question,
Is there or will there be a charger that can charge two Pro-lites on the same charging unit - one charger instead of two.

Thanks,
Jeff - NY

It seems to me that Charlie said his new high end charger ($179?) would do just that, give him a call and see. That's Charlie at Thunder Power by the way...

Hi Russ

Yes, it is available, I have seen one. I don't know how much it is. I'll call Charlie this next week and get him to send me a few of them. Call middle of the week and I'll let you know.

Chris, I would assume that since that charger is coming from Thunder Power - I should consider it a better charger then the 109,
and the fact that it charges two pro-lites at once, thats appealing. I intend on picking on up, what do you think?\
Thanks,
Jeff

The Schulze ISL 6 -660 (I think that is the number) charges 2 packs at once.

Duralite is also about to release the adaptors for their big balancing mldule that will work on a bunch of different packs including the pro lites. As soon as I get the adaptor, I will post up about it.

The Schulze ISL 6 -660 (I think that is the number) charges 2 packs at once.

It will not charge 2 large packs at once though. Only one large pack and one smaller pack at one time. Don't recall the exact numbers but Don't think you will be chargeing 2- 5s4p packs on this charger.

The 330 will not charge 2 large packs at once, I have 2 of them. I thought the 660 would. ???

I just looked at the specs for the ISL6-636. Only 1-3 cells lipo on the second output.

I wouldn't assume that at all.....

The 109's work just fine for me. Two of them is better than one charger IMO.
This way if one goes south all I am out is a bit more time to charge while it is getting repaired. Instead of having no charger or spending the big $$$$ to get a replacement.
Course mine are going strong still and I have not heard of any of them dying.

Besides you can get two 109's for less than 250.00. :D
Couple of cheap 25A power supplies from E-bay and you are in business no matter where you go.

All

I spoke with Charlie about his soon to be released charger, here is the scoop...

He recommends using the charger to charge BOTH packs in series and in combination with his 10 cell balancer. Most will realize that this is contrary to what has always been said about charging packs in series, apparently the new balancer will nullify this concern.

He mentioned that to do this you will need to keep your batteries labeled (as in "A" and "B") and always hook them up the same way. This way they will always get charged and balanced in the same way.

There are other details that will follow later once the units are available.

Retail for the charger will be $189.95 and the balancer will be $79.95. To me, this is a bargain.

Chris, sounds good to me - that way, I can have two chargers and charge 4 packs at once - I think I will take this route and report back once I get my hands on one.

By the way, I am really enjoying the 32-3/Prolites combination - it makes quite a difference.
Thanks,
Jeff

Cool Jeff

I figured you would like that setup, it's amazing what another 500 watts will do.

I too am waiting on the new charger and balancer, I'll probably just order a bunch as soon as I can for everyone.

Well just don't break it....
In a few months it will be "too old" and they will sell you a new one at a discount since yours won't be repairable. :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: :bomb: :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

Consider alternate battery sources like Duralite. Maybe they are worth a few $ more for the customer service??? I think so.
