Ive been taking apart my raptor and rebuilding it - trying to get everything set up properly before my first flight.

I have a question here on the flybar assembly.

The two ends of my flybar rod - one side of the rod is longer than the other, so when i thread on the paddles - i have to screw one on farther than the other - i get the distance from the flybar hub to each paddle beginning equal.

Im just wondering if something isnt right on my setup- i.e. i didnt center the hub on the rod right? i remember there being 2 flatspots on the rod to tighten the setscrews.. so either i tightened em backwards or its supposed to be unequal lengths?

thanks for the help..

to be more precise -- one side from flybar hub to end of flybar rod is 184 mm while the opposite side is 192 mm..

should i take apart the rod and put it back together.. or just make sure the distance from hub to paddle is the same on each side?

thanks!

You have to have equal lengths on each side, when you put the flybar into the seesaw, the little set screws should tighten down on the flat spots on the flybar, you can measure from the flybar control arms to the end of the flybar to tweak this.

When you screw the paddles on look into the little window in the paddle and screw them on until the flybar just starts showing in the window.

Mbuemi have you come across this website?

www.raptortechnique.com

It offers lots of help for Raptors, just thought it might be of use to you if you haven't seen it already. I use it all the time. :)
