Looking at the Honda Eu2000 just wandering if it will keep up with charging 2 6s 1p 5300mah packs at the same time. Wasn't sure if under load it wouldn't trip the breaker on generator.
Using two power supply's 15A and a 20A with amp meter. When I tried it at home with just the 20A it was pulling over 22Amps with both packs charging 1C using the BC8 and Eos0610i both on 5.3A settings.

EU2000 puts out 13.3A at 120V. I've had mine loaded down with 4 TP1010s charging 6S packs at 5A each (remember, this is 12-15V at 5A each, not 120V at 5A each) and the thing never came off of Eco-Throttle. That load was MAYBE 500 watts total - 1/4 of the capacity of the generator.
Here's a pic of 5 TP1010s in action hanging off an EU2000 last March:

Larry and I were charging 2 6s3700ma packs and 2 6s 4900ma packs (total of four packs) on the honda 1000 using the radio shack 25 amp supplys x2. no problem didn't even speed the generator up out of idle. i was using 1010c's and he was using some new charger he had just bought that charges two batt at the same time.Ron

Thanks
might go with the EU1000 and Save enough to get another 5300mah 6s pack :-) !!!

What about plugging it directly to the 12v out of the generator? My father has a Honda 2000 for his VR and was thinking about borrowing it for funflys this year...

why all the pwer supplies dont those chargers have a 12v dc jack @ 20 amps ? even my little pepboys 2000 has a dc jacks :) and i paid 250 for a 2000watt gen. its loud as all hell but doesnt need another power supply.

U can try it but I'd be willing to bet it won't work well. Don't remeber why but saw a post on it some were power is cleaner with less false peaks on lipo's.

Because most people don't use 12 volts, so the generator makes 120 AC. The DC probably comes from the system to run the engine (and charge the battery for electric start).
But a 6S 5000 mAH pack uses a peak of about 125 watts of power during charging. So charging 10 at one time and only draw 1250 watts. :)

The 12V output on the EU2000 is for charging batteries only - batteries as in automobile batteries.
